I am constantly being told that the bible is true. There are some stories of course that are just stories but there are others which are considered true and those are the ones I find the hardest to believe. If the scribes were getting all this information from people then it can't all be true they may have made the story sound more extravagant than it actually is. Take for example Jesus turning water into wine , his first miracle. Jesus is first miracle was encouraging people to drink alcohol. Alcohol kills.What sor of example is this setting and how do we know it is the complete truth.
Lets take a look at Shakespeare. He never wrote one big script in fear that people would tke his ideas and publish them as their own so he gave everyone their lines not giving them the complete story. What if this is the same concept. That we only have parts of the story not the full view and when we ask for it people give lots of diffrent versions. You could see a scribe's predicament. So what if because they only had parts they wove stories of their own or took the most outrageous ideas and included them instead of what actually happened?
